Project Manager

Sunpin Solar Development is a solar investment company that focuses on the acquisition, development, financing, and construction of solar photovoltaic projects throughout North America. The PM works to achieve portfolio and financial growth for Sunpin Solar by managing the projects from the pre-construction stage to project disposition.

The primary role of Project Manager is to oversee, coordinate and optimize the Sunpin project engineering, procurement and construction process as it relates to building a portfolio of high-quality development opportunities. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, a deep understanding of the strategic direction and implications of new technology, and the ability to manage field construction activities as well as the operations of solar projects.


– Work with the board on company direction, strategy and business plans related to EPC

– Structure and oversight the EPCM team. Interview, select, train, mentor and develop EPCM employees

– Prepare and maintain job descriptions for all EPCM employees and independent contractors

– Document evaluations of employee work, productivity, quality, compliance and teamwork at least annually

– Collaborate with legal department in drafting and negotiating EPC, equipment procurement and subcontractor agreements

– Work with internal and external management, senior level contacts, and key strategic partners to monitor projects, operation decisions, scheduling requirements, risk assessment, legal assessment, deliverables, and to optimize the project value

– Ensure projects are designed and constructed in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, and meet applicable construction code

– Provide direction and coordination of all on-site activities related to the physical construction of PV facilities and any coordinated subcontractors

– Ensure all project contractual obligations related to construction and commercial operation are adequately satisfied

– Ensure that scheduling and budgeting processes are fully aligned with business goals, objective and operational planning processes

– Provide EPCM team support for project due diligence as requested for project development, project sale and M&A opportunities


– Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Construction or related field

– Minimum of 1 years of commercial experience preferably in solar electrical design and installations

– Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred NABCEP (PV Installation Professional) certification is a plus

– Analytical skills and ability to multi-task
